The 44 mile Peach Tree 23 Yard Sale was begun in 2006 as towns along SC Highway 23: Modoc, Edgefield, Johnston, Ward, Ridge Spring, Monetta, Batesburg and Leesville created the area’s longest yard sale. The Yard Sale has grown to such proportions that planning begins in February for the first Saturday in June.

The towns suspend yard sale permits for the event, and Ridge Spring rents spaces for anyone wanting a space. Ridge Spring allows sales on Friday and Saturday; other towns allow sales on Saturday only.

Be ready to “Rummage the Ridge”.  Start at any point along Highway 23 for a day of treasure hunting.
